While the final squad is yet to be confirmed, Kimanzi remains optimistic. He highlighted the dynamic nature of the team, noting that players continue to show improvement with each session.
“The assessment process is gradual because players perform differently depending on the training objectives. However, from the squad of 38, we already have a solid foundation to build on,” he explained.
Kimanzi also emphasised the team's readiness and competitiveness for the tournament, which is scheduled to take place in Zanzibar from 3rd to 13th January 2025.
“The hard work and energy the players bring to every session have significantly improved their performance. We’re confident that we can field a competitive team for the Mapinduzi Cup. That’s not a concern,” he concluded.
